Marquette, Michigan – July 27, 2006 – United States Attorney Margaret M. Chiara announced that on July 17, 2006, John Albert Larson, age 21, of Wilson, Michigan, was sentenced by Senior United States District Court Judge R. Allan Edgar, to 27 months’ confinement, two years of supervised release, and a special assessment of $100.00.

On March 28, 2006, Mr. Larson pled guilty to an Indictment charging him with sexual abuse of a minor, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2243(a).

Ms. Chiara expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and officers of the Hannahville Tribal Police Department. Assistant United States Attorneys Paul D. Lochner and Maarten Vermaat prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.
