PRESS RELEASE

WOODWARD CORRIDOR BANDIT

Andrew G. Arena, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Detroit, Michigan, announces the Detroit FBI is attempting to locate and arrest Laurye Mitchell for robbing the following banks since December 28, 2007:

1. Comerica Bank

3. Charter One Bank

1001 Woodward Avenue

Detroit, Michigan

Detroit, Michigan

A description of Laurye Mitchell is as follows:

Name: Laurye Mitchell

Sex: Male

Race: Black

Complexion: Medium Brown

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 200 lbs.

Hair: Black, short, fade style cut

Eyes: Brown

Age: 29

Date of Birth: May 27, 1978

During these robberies, Mitchell gives a demand note to the bank employees, indicating that he has a weapon. To date, Mitchell has not brandished any weapons but Mitchell has indicated to bank employees that he will use a weapon if his demands are not carried out. Mitchell should be considered “Armed and Dangerous.”

A reward is being offered for information regarding Laurye Mitchell which would lead to his arrest and conviction.
