ARREST OF THE BLUE BANDITS ON JANUARY 7, 2008
Andrew G. Arena, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Detroit, Michigan, announces the arrest of Michael Sloan Muller, age 35, Fenton, Michigan, and Terry Joshua Strauss, age 20, Fenton, Michigan, on Saturday, January 7, 2008. They were arrested by law enforcement agencies without incident as they fled the scene of a bank robbery at Fifth Third Bank, 2350 East M-21 Highway, Owosso, Michigan.
Arrest warrants and complaints for Muller and Strauss were issued Monday, January 7, 2008, for violations of Title 18, Untied States Code, Section 2113(a) and (d) for the Fifth Third Bank robbery. Later the same day, Muller and Strauss had their initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Michael Hluchaniuk, Eastern District of Michigan, Flint, Michigan.
Muller and Strauss are believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies:
1. Metro North Federal Credit Union

Holly, Michigan

2. Citizens Bank
8017 Silver Lake Road,
Linden, Michigan
December 7, 2007
3. Fifth Third Bank
2350 East M-21 Highway,
Owosso, Michigan
