TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR COMERICA BANK ROBBERY IN GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, ON JANUARY 7, 2008

 

Andrew G. Arena, Special Agent in Charge (SAC), Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI), Detroit, Michigan, announces the arrest of Craig Timothy Johnson, age 41, and Ricky Ladale Johnson, age 23, on Monday, January 7, 2008. They were arrested without incident following the robbery of the Comerica Bank, 857 Four Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the same day.

Arrest warrants and complaints for both individuals were obtained and filed in the Western District of Michigan, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, for violations of Title 18, Section 2113(a) for the robbery of Comerica Bank in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Both individuals also had their initial appearance in Federal Court on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. It is anticipated they will have a detention hearing in Federal Court in the Western District of Michigan, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday, January 11, 1008.

The investigation in this matter continues as these two individuals may also be responsible for a series of bank robberies throughout central Michigan.
