America's Most Wanted Fugitive Captured in Detroit
On Monday, July 28, 2008, the Detroit Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF) captured one of America's Most Wanted fugitives. James "Jimmy" Leevon Patrick, 65, was on the run after being charged in 1998 for sexually assaulting a 11-year-old girl in Chester, Pennsylvania. A lead generated out of the Atlanta Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and information developed by the Detroit VCTF directed task force officers to Patrick hiding in an attic on Martindale Street, Detroit, Michigan. Patrick was arrested without incident and was transported to Wayne County jail where he awaits extradition.
The Detroit VCTF is comprised of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Michigan State Police, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit Police Department.
Detailed information on James "Jimmy" Leevon Patrick can be found on America's Most Wanted web site at www.amw.com.
